| Description: | UOL and Singland has won the Clementi Avenue one government land sale (GLS). Developers participated in the land tender. UOL and Singland winning bid at $302 million is only 9% higher then the second highest bid from Consortium of Oxley and Lian Beng.
This new site in Clementi provide buyers and investor an alternative to lakeside developments as it is also one MRT stop to Jurong East MRT. Being in Clementi also has the advantage of being closer to many reputable tertiary, Tech parks and business park and it is nearer to the city center.
Developer has confirmed the new condo name to be The Clement Canopy. The Clement Canopy condo is expected to have between 450 to 460 units. Its unit type has not been confirm at this point of time. My guess is it will have the usual 1 to 3 bed room and maybe limit 4 to 5 bed room to cater for buyers who prefer to purchase for their own stay.
The Clement Canopy condo land size is about 140,000 sqft. Located 3 bus stops from Clementi MRT station it is only one MRT stop to Jurong Lakeside district where it will be Singapore second CBD and Orchard road. URA blue print for Jurong Lakeside District included new commercial office building to support business activities, hotel and shopping malls for business tourist. There may be plan for health care tourism too with Singapore 1st integrated health centre inside Jurong East and a new high speed rail already confirm to have its terminal at Jurong Lake district.
